Our Programs
Challah for Hunger
Entering its second year, Challah for Hunger is a weekly initiative of students baking and selling challah on campus. Proceeds go to the American Jewish World Service For Humanitarian Aid In Darfur and other local non-profit organizations. Helping the world, one challah at a time.
Jewish Student Union
Having so many different Jewish student groups and pro-Israel groups can be very difficult. JSU is the place where Jewish students can come together to collaborate and discuss current events, issues, plans, and holiday celebrations! JSU meets every week at Hillel.
Shabbat Dinners
Every Friday night Hillel hosts a Shabbat Service and interns cook a delicious and Kosher dinner, open to all. Free and healthy food with vegetarian/vegan options every week to welcome the Sabbath. These dinners help students feel a sense of community and that they have a home away from home.
Women’s Circle
Hillel opens its doors for women only and hosts events for them to bond and learn from each other. These events address women in Judaism, women in our community and in our culture. Sometimes these events even have themes, such as “Sex and Sushi” in which women come together and talk openly about female sexuality and Judaism, all over California rolls and nagiri. All women are welcome and encouraged.
Hillel Late Nights
From jam sessions to cram sessions, Hillel late night is a great place to go. Open mics, study sessions, game nights, or just hanging out with friends. Hillel has the perfect space to meet up with friends, or just get away from your dorm room. Coffee, tea, and snacks are always available.
